Parting is such sweet sorrow

As much as four days in Atlanta was a roaring success last week, and we’ve got bookings for concerts in the US well into 2016, which rocked my world, sadly this week we’re a little bit in mourning at Incognito Artists.

The sales supremo that is Rowan Fisk, our Sales and Business Development Manager, is leaving us.

Rowan has been a great asset and member of the Incognito family. I’m sure he’ll never forget his ‘interview’ at the Waitangi Day (NZ Day) Ball at Grosvenor House in London, laying his dancing moves on the line to be critiqued and reviewed as to whether he was up to the task of working with us.

From maximising revenue from existing clients, winning new business, offering creative ideas to deliver bespoke gigs, to overseeing and delivering on the sales strategy, Fisky had the talent and sheer good looks to pull it all off beautifully, and that rare thing, make it look easy.

Rowan is taking his experience and skills, honed in the unique environment that is the Incognito family, and taking them back into recruitment. His life plan means he wants to live and raise a family outside of London.  And at Incognito it’s important to us to ensure dreams come true, that’s why we love what we do, so we’re not holding him back.

In the fast paced entertainment world, HQ has to be London, New York, LA or Vegas, etc etc.  Country life is not conducive to running the show.  Otherwise I’d be living on a beach in NZ.  (Actually I’m still trying to convince Sim to move to Florida.  Great weather and you get a mansion with a pool near the beach for a quarter of the price compared to a flat in London!)

Rowan leaves big dancing shoes to fill, so we’re taking our time to find the ideal replacement.  If you have any suggestions, or want a job description for the Sales and Business Development Manager to pass on, we’d love to hear from you.
